He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
When we are broken there is nothing that we can do to fix ourselves. I have often heard that time heals all wounds. No matter how many days, weeks or months go by we still have to deal with our past hurt. But it’s the grace, the unmerited favor, of God that allows us to heal. We deserve nothing from God. We mess up, and He still shows us favor. The favor that He provides us has nothing to do with our own character, but it shows the character of God. God is willing to look past our faults to show us His compassion and love.
Imagine how a nurse binds up wounds, so delicate and careful not to cause additional harm. A nurse doesn’t care if we have an accident or if the injury was a result of one’s own mistake. When you clean a wound, you remove all dirt and filth from the area then they cover and protect the area. I trust God is healing my wounds just as delicate as a nurse.
Each day we sin against the Father, and each day He continues to show love and grace towards us. Even though it may seem like our heart is still broken at times, I encourage you to trust God and His word. If God says He heals the brokenhearted, then I trust that God will heal my heart. The more I learn and read about our Father and His precious Son the better I feel. There were days that I use to wake up miserable now I wake up with peace that is not of this world. Today I pray for God’s peace to be over you and your situation. Trust that He will do what He says, trust that He will heal you and bind your wounds.
