11 Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. 12 I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty.
Today I am reminded to see the good in every situation. It is easy to look at our circumstances and complain about our current state. What does being content really mean? By definition, content means to be satisfied. I may get upset at times and feel down, but I am satisfied with what God is doing in my life.
Modeling Paul, we should accept the good times with the bad times. Even when I am going through God is worthy and deserves to be praised. In addition to me being at peace with God, we need to be at peace with situations that we go through.
Are you just as content when you are broke? Or are you only content with money? Are you just as content when you are sick? Its our trust in the Lord that makes us content. I know God will see me through whatever situation that I will face so I am at peace.
Can you honestly say that you are at peace with your situation? I encourage you to look at your life and see how God is working. Pray for peace and pray to see the good in your situation.
I can honestly say I’m not at peace with where I am in my Christian walk at this time.
