I keep hearing about this future that God has planned. People tell me I am about to walk into this great blessing. Here I am waiting and anticipating without even realizing what has unfolded before me.

I am a survivor and even today I am still surviving. I have survived the worst hurt of my life, and I have lived to tell my story. No one wants to go through the emotional pain of losing something or losing the life we have always dreamed. But we must remember we were created by God to fulfill His purpose.

Yesterday I talked about the story of Joseph. There is a lot to gain from the big picture but pay close attention to the details as well.

And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors, Genesis 45:7, ESV. It’s not about you but what God will do through you. How amazing is it to know that God can use you in your present state.

I am blessed to know I am right where God placed me. And I trust God in this situation. I may be wounded and badly bruised but He has brought me thus far.

Now, I can be there for that young minister who has no idea about this calling she received. I can now be there for a young minister experiencing hurt and rejection. I know the pain, but I also know the one who comforts. Who will you minister too?
