Day 10 of 21: I Have The Victory

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ –  1 Corinthians 15:57

What does it really look like to know that you have the victory? I know we as Christians say that God is going to do a new thing.  We get excited because we know He has the victory in every situation of our lives.  But what does it really mean to know that God has already won in our situation?

I often hear Pastors using the illustration of watching a replay of their favorite team.  With the replay game you already know he outcome. Each mistake on the field for your winning team doesn’t matter because you know who is going to walk away with the WIN.  It doesn’t matter if the opposing team trips you or sets you up.  It doesn’t even matter if the officials are cheating.  When you know the outcome, you can watch the game with ease.  You may get bothered by the little mishaps in the game, but you are watching this game with a different level of confidence.

Today the Lord assured me that I need to live with this same mindset.  God said right now it may look bad but trust me because you will win this one.  Don’t worry about circumstances; He said trust me the outcome will be in your favor.  So today I encourage you to trust God and trust that He has the victory.  Don’t just say He will be victorious in your situation, rest confidently that you have already won.
