Lamentations 3:22-23

Those verses sound pretty but what do they really mean?

One commentary notes that: Mercy is nothing else but love flowing freely from any to persons in misery.

I don’t know what your misery is but we all experience this feeling. It comes over us when we are alone and have time to think. My misery is evident when I think about being betrayed but those I trusted. But I no longer allow myself to have a pity party. In the midst of my pain I’ve started to sense strong emotions that help overturn my hurt. I am starting to feel a since of peace and calmness when I’m sad. But I get comfort in such bible verses.

It is refreshing to know that the Lord freely gives me His mercy each day. This love that flows from the Father never runs out. Rest assured that we receive new mercies, new love and compassion from the Lord each day. He is our source that never stops filling us with His love. Take time to tap into His power.
