I had to learn the hard way that not everyone who says they are with you will be there by your side when things get tough. I’ve had my fair share of getting cut off when I needed the support. I am not sure why people coward away, but the scripture does warn us of have unreliable friends. I am blessed that I also had those who proved to be more than friends.

Today I am thankful for those people who stand by me. Those people who listen when I need to talk. Those people who console me when I am hurting. We know who our real friends are when everything seems to fall apart. Our true friends stand with us through the toughest of times.

Yes God is more than enough, but we are relational people. We are not meant to go at things alone; I encourage you to find a support system. Someone who journeys with you through the good and bad times.

A good friend is also there to pray for you. I must admit finding these types of friends are easier said than done. But I am a witness God will send people when you least expect to stand with you by your side.
