No one wants to stay in an abusive situation for long. Then one day we get the courage to walk out to never return to those circumstances. Walking out of toxic situations comes with a new set of issues. Where do we go from here? How do we pick up the pieces? What is next in our lives?
I don’t have all the answers to these questions, so I began to pray. I asked the Lord to lead and guide my path. At times it seems unclear if I am going down the right track. No matter where we go, we should know that we are not alone. God is right there beside us.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
The Lord also tells Joshua not to be afraid or discouraged. Joshua is embarking on a new opportunity and a new position. Walking out of one situation I too and stepping into something new. I cannot be afraid of the unknown nor can I fear what is ahead. I had gotten so comfortable in a tough situation that I was reluctant to walk away when the time came. Knowing that God is by our side gives us the confidence to face an uncertain future.
So today I offer you hope as you explore the unknown. You got out so what is next. We do know the future, but we serve a God who has it all planned out for us. Be assured that God already knows our course and he will be with us as we face new experiences.
Yes he does knows all about our situations
